Three doors.
One discipline.

From a five-day Early Case Assessment to soup-to-nuts managed discovery — every engagement is fixed-fee, statistically validated, and defensible. Pick the door that matches the matter.

§ 01 — ENTRY POINT

Early Case Assessment.

$5,000 – $15,000 flat fee · 5-day turnaround

What it is

Within five business days of an engagement letter, we ingest your document corpus, run AI-powered topic clustering and key-issue identification, surface candidate hot documents, and deliver a written ECA report covering volume estimates, custodian and date-range analysis, privilege risk assessment, and a recommended review protocol.

When to use it

  • You've been served and have a fact-discovery deadline approaching
  • You're scoping a matter and need a defensible volume estimate before staffing
  • You're evaluating settlement leverage and need to know what's in the data
  • Opposing counsel produced documents and you need to triage them fast
  • You're considering taking a contingency case and need to assess risk

What you receive

With document counts and significance notes

Hot document candidates

10–20 with reasoning and urgency flags

Custodian analysis

Date-distribution breakdown

Privilege risk assessment

"Is this just a fancy keyword search?"

No. We use frontier-grade language models to read documents the way an associate would — understanding context, identifying themes, recognizing legal significance. Keywords miss everything that doesn't contain the keyword. Our models don't.

"Will the ECA report stand up if challenged?"

Yes. Every coding decision is logged with model version, prompt, timestamp, and reviewer. We provide statistical validation samples with confidence intervals on recall and precision. The methodology is defensible at meet-and-confer.

"What if we want to expand into a full review after the ECA?"

Most clients do. We credit the full ECA fee against a subsequent AI-Assisted First-Pass Review or Full Managed Discovery engagement on the same matter.

§ 02 — VOLUME

AI-Assisted First-Pass Review.

$0.05 – $0.15 per document · typically 5–10 days

What it is

Full-corpus relevance and privilege coding. Our pipeline reads every document in the corpus, applies coding decisions against your specific responsiveness and privilege criteria, and produces a statistically validated coded data set ready for production or for your review platform.

Compared to contract attorney linear review at $1.50–$3.00 per document over six weeks, our pipeline delivers the same coded output in days for a fraction of the cost — with documented methodology that holds up under challenge.

When to use it

  • Document corpus over 50,000 and contract attorney review is unaffordable
  • Fact discovery deadline doesn't allow six weeks for linear review
  • Multiple matters with overlapping data — we can dedupe across matters
  • You've already coded a sample manually and want AI to extend the coding to the full corpus
  • Your client is fee-sensitive and you need to deliver defensible discovery on a budget

What you receive

Full-corpus coding

Responsiveness, privilege, work-product, custom issue tags

Statistical validation samples

With confidence intervals

Discrepancy report

Flags documents where the model expressed uncertainty

Defensibility package

Methodology, model logs, validation results

Coded data delivery

DAT/CSV load file or pushed to your review platform

Privilege log starter

Responsive privileged docs with proposed log entries

How we price it

Volume tier Per-document rate
Under 250,000 documents $0.15
250,000 – 1M documents $0.10
1M – 5M documents $0.07
Over 5M documents $0.05

Volume discounts apply automatically. Minimum engagement: $5,000.

"How accurate is the AI coding compared to attorney review?"

Frontier-model AI coding typically achieves 92–97% recall and 88–94% precision — comparable to or better than human contract attorney consistency, which independent studies have shown to vary widely. Every engagement includes statistical validation against your matter-specific requirements.

"How is this different from TAR / predictive coding?"

Traditional TAR uses statistical classifiers trained on attorney-coded seed sets. Our approach uses frontier language models that understand documents in context, no seed-set training required. TAR works for relevance; our approach handles relevance, privilege, work-product, and nuanced issue coding in the same pass.

"Will opposing counsel accept this?"

The defensibility framework established in Da Silva Moore v. Publicis Groupe (S.D.N.Y. 2012) and Rio Tinto PLC v. Vale S.A. (S.D.N.Y. 2015) supports AI-assisted review with documented methodology and statistical validation. We operate squarely within that framework and provide meet-and-confer disclosure packages with every engagement.

§ 03 — END-TO-END

Full Managed Discovery.

$25,000 – $250,000 per matter · fixed fee

What it is

We handle the entire discovery workflow from collection through production. You give us the matter scope and the custodians; we give you back a Bates-stamped production, a privilege log, and a single invoice. One throat to choke. Predictable from the day you sign the engagement letter.

When to use it

  • You don't have an in-house e-discovery practice and don't want to build one
  • The matter is complex enough that you want one accountable party, not three vendors
  • Your client wants budget certainty and you want to deliver it
  • You're a corporate legal department tired of paying outside counsel hourly to manage discovery
  • You're a litigation support vendor who wants to white-label our AI engine for a specific matter

What's included

Collection coordination

Email, file shares, mobile, Slack/Teams, cloud storage

Processing

Text extraction, OCR, deduplication, email threading

AI review

Same engine as our standalone AI-Assisted Review service

Human QC

Our attorneys review statistical samples

Privilege log

Generated from coded privileged documents

Production

Bates-numbered, DAT/OPT load files

Defensibility package

Methodology disclosure, model logs, validation samples, statistical confidence intervals

How we price it

Full Managed Discovery is always fixed-fee, scoped at the intake call based on estimated document volume, number of custodians and data sources, complexity of issue coding, production format requirements, and timeline urgency.

Matter profile Fee range
Small commercial matter (under 100K docs, 2–5 custodians) $25,000 – $50,000
Mid-size matter (100K–500K docs, 5–15 custodians) $50,000 – $125,000
Complex matter (500K–2M docs, 15+ custodians) $125,000 – $250,000
Mega-matter (over 2M docs) Custom-scoped

"What if the corpus turns out larger than scoped?"

We re-baseline at agreed volume thresholds disclosed in the engagement letter. No surprise invoices.

"Can you work with our existing review platform?"

Yes. We export coded data in standard load file formats (Relativity, Concordance, Reveal, Everlaw, DISCO). If you want us to handle the production layer end-to-end, we can do that too.

"How fast can you start?"

Engagement letter to first document ingested: 48 hours. For urgent matters with active deadlines, we prioritize the call within four business hours of the request.

Not sure which door?

Talk to us. A 30-minute intake call almost always clarifies the right entry point — sometimes it's an ECA, sometimes the matter is ready for first-pass review, sometimes it's a full managed engagement. We'll tell you what the matter actually needs, not just what we'd most like to sell you.
